Port 993 is the default port > for imaps. Oh, I just checked, I used STARTTLS, which actually is port 143. I switched now to TLS/SSL. But, what did the message mean in the end, did Thunderbird try to circumvent Tor? Isn´t it just normal, TB tries to connect to the imap server on its port? Thanks R
