Nothing is actually exposed.

If they do manage to take down all hidden pedo services, I guess most
people won't miss anything. But what if they decide to take it further? 
What if someone has a political stand that they don't approve, and they 
take down those services too? Suddenly they have the power to censor Tor 
hidden services.

This _is_ an attack on Tor! And they've already proven, to a certain 
extend, that Tor has some weaknesses.

Maybe Tor hidden services is going down once and for all? Hopefully, they 
will only make Tor more secure and resistant to DDoS attacks. This is 
going to be exciting.
