A "Beginners' Guide to the F-CPU Project" would certainly be nice, but
it will need permanent maintenance by somebody, otherwise it's useless.

I'm not sure whether you really mean `leading', or perhaps `guiding'.
I usually want no guidance either (I consider figuring things out myself
part of the fun), but in general, being guided is a good thing, as well
as guiding somebody yourself.
