And it's easy to do a "zen alarm clock" that starts out quiet and
keeps getting louder until you respond.  No more morning heart
attacks.

Yeah, my watch does that, but not my alarm clock.  Of course, my alarm
clock is still a mechanical round-in-circles clock.
