Re: gEDA-user: Where do "models" or ".cir" files live?

Hi,

I've got a tarball of "extras" which were originally added to gEDA for
the old CUED MDP CD.

It contains two things... a directory containing some gschem symbols,
and another, called "models" which contains SPICE models. (Ending in
".cir")

Does anyone know if these models are likely to be for "ngspice" or
"gnucap", and in either case, where they need to be put, or what config
file needs updating for them to be recognised.

The models are compatible with ngspice and gnucap. The position of that depend of will what you do, for example if you use a gnucap-model-1.sym symbol from gschem in the file parameter indicate the path to the archive or if you include that in the circuit file to simulate write the path.
