   GIF is 256 color, and I finally got this ^%#&#$ 16 bit working!  I
want to show it off. :-)  I probably will do GIF, I just want to know
why it broke.  Amusingly enough, it will save as BMP, but there is no
linked BMP viewer in KDE.  :-)
