Actually, for the sound, I shall be specific: there was no library that
I found that did the job. I want real-time synchronous mixing, and they
all do it asynchronously, which I didn't like (responsible for the sound
"lag" in many games). No threading or forking is acceptable to me, if I
can avoid it (the X server is a case where it can't be avoided, for
example).
