Pingus (again)

I've installed automake1.6 (from debian testing).
When running ./autogen.sh i get:

Running aclocal, automake and autoconf...
aclocal: configure.in: 37: macro `AM_PROG_LIBTOOL' not found in library
configure.in:35: no proper implementation of AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE was found,
configure.in:35: probably because aclocal.m4 is missing...
configure.in:35: You should run aclocal to create this file, then
configure.in:35: run automake again.

Is this my fault?
