 I was surprised, but setting the iframe to http seems to work. You get
 mixed-content warnings, but if the nesting goes like this,

 https enclosing page
   http flash proxy embed.html
     ws non-secure WebSocket
 }}}
 the browser seems to make the WebSocket connection. It definitely doesn't
 work if the `embed.html` is itself served over https.
