 Doh. I misread it in the title. I guess then the only question that
 remains is if it is really being idle that causes it. If it's only
 disconnect, then the fix can be as simple as not logging if your entry
 guards are not live, but if it is also triggerable via being idle, then
 the fix is not clear to me yet.
