Re: [school-core] Announcing: Mailman 2.0.13 gets eVoting

I could do it wondering if mailman has to be upgraded I am assuming so. Let me look around

Matt of Blue Linux installed Mailman for me on iteachnet.org. I use it all the
time with no problems. So that's two things: a) I have a version up and running
that can be used (if desired) and b) Matt has done this ... Matt, are you there?

I think schoolforge-discuss would like to chime in on this one. Is there any
reason to keep this discussion for members-only?

A Mailman server (hopefully with the eVote add-on) would need to be online 24/7. People would think it is broken. To subscribe, for instance, you send in one message or click on the web -- and then
have to "confirm" with an email. That wouldn't work otherwise.

OK, I see the point! It will need a queuing system like jabber has for
that to work.. But what if both parties are never online at the same
time.

Jeepers. Just subscribed. Very interesting. I think I'll love it. I'm

not a big patch hacker nor even too much into XML -- yet.
I put the feed from that list to my pending / testing Radio Weblog.

Great, I have cced danbri, I am sure he will be interested in this as
well.
