If you've already cracked the problem, forget it, but if not, you might give us some specifics. For example, what distribution are you working on? And ... can you tell us what apps/programs you need to run (or at least one) and their/its version(s) so we can have a look? Once you get through this, you may just find you like it. Or maybe not, but at least you'll realize you can do it.
