[school-discuss] GPeriodic

Was checking out some of the software recommended at the Schoolforge.net site and trying to see what we were missing as far as other good educational software recommendations.  I've tried out GPeriodic on Debian and it seems like a nice educational program.  Was thinking it might make a good addition.  It's built in a pretty straight-forward manner, so it should run fine cross-platform.  I used most of the Debian patches and the source code for 2.0.10 from http://www.frantz.fi/software/gperiodic.php and used MinGW to build a copy on Windows.  Anyone know if this project is still currently maintained?  Appeared to be several patches for Debian that haven't made it back into the original source.  Thought it might be nice to make a Windows executable available somehow.  Most people seem to prefer not to have to build programs from source just to try them out.
