lib version dilema




For those of you not following debian-devel, there is a really weird
problem about what the actual version of libreadline.so is.  This is
important because bash and other things depend on it.

Seems that the current upstream maintainer of the library wants to bump
the minor number whle the FORMER maintainer wants to bump the major
number.  Red Hat has gone with the higher major while debian goes with the
higher minor.

I am passing this along in case there is some problem in converting Debian
packages to Red Hat and vice-versa.
