One more hint for Linux-in-Edu-HOWTO
(looks like advertizing ;-)

There is nothing  better  to  create  math/physics  texts  than
LaTeX. And LaTeX is standard for Linux (it comes with all major
distributions).

So, math  teachers  ought  to  be  familiar  with  it  to  make
nice-looking math texts  and  probably  use  LaTeX  to  prepare
didactic materials.
