You can make a meaningful machine with a 486/33 and 32M of RAM.  This is
what I've given my children on my home intranet.  They run XWindows, and
WordPerfect.  They have shell access to the server where they use Pine for
email and Lynx for browsing.  All graphic viewers are disabled, so that
effectively censorts most things.
