Other things - regarding distro-guidelines.

Regarding Selling computers at very low (nominal) cost of (say) $10):

Provides:

1. Sense of dignity to recipient (rather than getting "handouts")
2. Small income to cover costs such as legal insurance, power, other
expenses.

Regarding distributing computers to "profit-making" organisations.

While I agree wholeheartedly that we should not be distributing low/no
cost computers to established businesses, I am thinking that perhaps we
should consider leaving the option at least "open" to us at the
discretion of the CBWA committee... for example... suppose you have a
person or persons wanting to start up their own business as part of a
plan to overcome unemployment ... I would think that in this instance CB
may wish to consider helping them by providing machines (perhaps
preloaded with GNU Money or somesuch) in order to get them going....
however I certainly agree that for the most part, we will not be giving
computers to busineses.

Anyway, that's my $0.02... 8-)
