For people creating maps, remember that it exists updated tiles for buildings, like on this old shot (the moutains are not the right ones) :

you could considered them as "garage/building entry" for some EAST tile, or "generators" for some SOUTH tiles
oh, and playing with deepness of water makes the map more eye-candy :)

maybe the moutains are not dark enough, they look like big sand dunes... i'll perform some tests on vacation
