The totalitarian regime of Syria has been building and sponsoring terrorist groups in Lebanon since early seventies. Syria has invaded Lebanon gradually till it gained a complete control over the capital Beirut in 1990. Lebanon, under Syrian occupation, was turned from a democratic country to a totalitarian regime ruled by the Syrian army and intelligence.
