Initial Comment:
FAQ: "I am using a symbol out of the library. How come it's not aligned to the grid?"
Answer: "But everybody likes to do things their own way, and there is no overall symbol dictator to enforce the rules on contributed symbols."

This answer is not acceptable for the most commonly used symbols. The resistor and capacitor symbols should be examples of a properly made symbol that contributors can use.  The resistor and capacitor should be on a 100mil grid not 90.

The specified attributes for these components should also be consistent between variants.
