gEDA-bug: [Bug 716051] Re: Some gnetlist backends overflow the stack.
It's already fixed in unstable, or damn well should be. If this problem
still occurs, please provide specific steps to reproduce, or flag this
bug invalid.
In 1.6.x the workaround will still be required.

Title:
Some gnetlist backends overflow the stack.
Status in GPL Electronic Design Automation tools:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Some gnetlist backends crash because of stack overflow when confronted
with moderately complex boards. Backends known to crash this ay are
bom2 and drc2. This is a long standing issue, that frequently catches
newbies. The gnetlist FAQ contains the advice to increase the stack at
least since 2006.
Suggestion: Include the advice of the FAQ in the system-gentlistrc.
Long term solution would of course be better stack management.
