In the physical word, the individual logic gates share a package.  
That package has a footprint. So, the logic gate symbol should have a  
footprint= attribute.

We are not clear where your hangup is. Perhaps you don't know about  
the slot= attribute? Please tell us exactly where in the flow you are  
stuck.
