By soldermask bridge width do you mean minimum width in between soldermask relief areas?


Yes. In particular, I am interested to check that the soldermask
separating two pins (or a pin and a via, or two vias) is sufficiently
wide. Otherwise the possibility of an inadvertent solder bridge
exists.



eek. So this is really two issues.

1) the soldermask relief around each of two adjacent pads makes the remaining soldermask too small.

2) the soldermask relief around each of two adjacent pads (or any others in the area) entirely removes the soldermask.

Does the following sound like the correct way to check for this?

1) grow all soldermask relief by min_soldermask/2.
2) verify that all pads are in little islands of soldermask relief with no other pads


Not really sure how to code this up, but does this at least sound like the correct logical test?
