gEDA-user: gaf not using user language

Hi all,
I just updated gaf spanish translation. 
I updated to master gaf.git, compiled using "./autogen.sh;./configure
--prefix=/home/cnieves/geda/;make install".

When I tried to test the translation, I couldn't get gschem in spanish
(running ~/geda/bin/gschem).
If I run "gschem" in the same terminal, I get the system installed
gschem running in spanish, as usual.

There are some relevant lines in config.log :

Is there anything more I should do? Am I the only one with this problem?
