I noticed the change, too. 
Is this a bug, or deliberate? 
If it is deliberate, what was the reason for the change?

So I am not the only one. Maybe, it is just habits, but even after a few 
sessions with the new behavior, I still tend to expect drawing a net, when
th GUI still waits for the starting click.
