Keep an eye out for orange highlights - for example a via with an
orange ring around it. This is how the UI shows where two nets are
shorted.
A common mistake I make is to add thermals to a via on the wrong layer
- this usually results in a short circuit but I can quickly spot it
because of the orange ring.
