Perhaps file a feature-request on http://launchpad.net/pcb/+bugs We would probably need the g_file_monitor_file API in GLib/GIO. This is present (I think), since GLib 2.18. This corresponds to approximately GTK 2.16 and onwards. (From a quick scan of the git repository, GTK 2.16 requires at least GLIB 2.19.7).
