Flux is indispensible when soldering fine-pitch. For some reason it really
helps to prevent bridging. Apply flux liberally then put a blob of solder on
the iron and run it across the pads. Works like a charm. The stereo
microscope is extremely handy too of course to see what you're doing and
what you've done.
