Unrelated obscure note, but a negative zero is not allowed to
appear on scales in Canada.  I did Weigh Scale project long ago
and that was the reason given for one of the requirements.

XCircuit use to have problems with leading signs, they caused
the parser to do math in places where math was not meant to be done.
