gEDA-user: adding footprints attribute to schematics symbols

Hello!

I'm newbe in electronics and with gEDA so please help me with few advices!

I try to make a PCB board for a PC interface for educational purpose.

Some peaple help me from Terminal Forum:
http://forum.terminal.hu/viewtopic.php?t=32764&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

to design such PC interface. Then from image that give to me this boys

I make a schematic
"PC_interf_Oktatashoz.sch"
that can download from here:

http://www.mediamax.com/paul_csanyi/Hosted/gschem_schems

This should to be an interface that can be to connect with an Centronics
interface to LPT port of PC box.

The PC interface should to get +5V from USB port.

Through CONN3 should to connect relies and electromotors to control them from
PC box - from applications written in Visual Basic or Pascal.

I give fottprints attributes for CONN1, CONN2 & CONN3. Are these
footprints right?

I don't know what footprints to add for the rest of the elements.

I run gsch2pcb PC_interf_Oktatashoz.sch

and get WARNINGs for resistors, capacitors, LEDs & optocaplers.

I have a questions for this List.

What is the right way to do this work: to make a PCB for this interface?
Should I buy first the electronic elements and then add footprints to the
elements in schematic?

I know for these address:
http://www.gedasymbols.org/
http://luciani.org/geda/pcb/pcb-footprint-list.html

but still I don't know which footprints to add to the elements in the
schem.

How to make a connection to USB port: that is, for what to sold the USB
cable on this PC interface?

I appreciate any advices!
