I am wanting to change the soldermask clearance for all the parts on a
board to 6 mils. I would like to write a script to do this for me. I
have tried googling, but I can't find much.
From "Footprint creation for the o p e n - s o u r c e layout program
"PCB"", I see:
Pad [x1 y1 x2 y2 thickness clearance mask name pad_number flags]
If I replace the original pad:
Pad[-900 2400 900 2400 2400 2000 3000 "1" "1" 0x00000100]
with
Pad[-900 2400 900 2400 2400 2000 6000 "1" "1" 0x00000100]
I get way more than 6 mils clearance. How can I calculate the number to
uses for silk clearance? What does that number mean? I am using
pcb20050127.
The fact that the file is text is nice. I just changed the size of 200
vias in about 30 seconds with search and replace in emacs.
