I agree.  As gattrib's author I tried to set it up this way, but
couldn't figure it out how to make the GtkExtra spreadsheet widget do
it automagically.  Then, to do it manually I would need to figure out
how wide a particular bit of text is, something which involves
understanding how pango fonts work.  Yuck!

If you (or anybody else) knows how to do this, please send me patches!
