I've been searching the archives trying to get some answers to some
learning curve kinds of questions on just how to use this wonderful
package of tools effectively.

The more I search, the more questions I have....

The first I'd like to ask is: just how do you find out what the list of
footprints are and what they map to? For instance: if I am inserting an
oscillator how do I specify its foot print. It will fit in a 14 pin DIP
wire wrap socket but only uses 4 pins....

Next question that comes to mind: Radio Shack (and others) sell PCB
board blanks with pre-etched edge connectors. Looking through the
component library I can't find but two edge connector components
defined. Are there others? Is there a secret to defining putting
connectors on a schematic and defining a footprint for them to be
properly placed on a board?

I'll leave it at those two questions while I work my way through some of
the tutorials and try and figgure it all out....
