Export instead of print.  Choose the postscript (ps) option.  You can
convert that to PDF.

SMT?  You need at least two layers, one for the top and one for the
bottom.  Use the layer groups to assign one to the component side and
the other to the solder side.  Then just don't use the solder side
one.
