Re: gEDA-user: PCB zoom/panning slow when using copper pour

I've noticed the same thing.  Any time planes are shown, the redraw is ~ 10x slower than it used to be.  Is this a consequence of the new "polygon clipping" code?  If so, is there a way to turn it off or configure/build so that it isn't being used?  What would I lose?

I've also seen warning messages from a gerber file viewer (ViewMaster) that complains about malformed polygons.  Presumably this due to a polygon which is folded over on itself.

Yeah, not sure if that's a good thing or not ;-)

But I was mostly interested in hearing if it were faster, that will
help narrow down where the slowdown is.
