At the very least, you'd have to figure out how to interact with the
user to place that list, perhaps sort it, and how it interacts with
the output files (gerber, ps, etc) of the board.

Personally, I think it'd be more interesting to have something like a
ToolTips popup when you hover the crosshair over a part.

The 's' key changes the text size.  Minimum line width for text is
determined by the DRC settings.
