It kind of works. 
On a large, crammed full board, where the feature is needed the most, 
the cross hair is almost invisible in when zoomed out. Highlighted 
SMD pads does not stand out on their own. They are just too small.  

Also, the netlist has to be visible on screen at the same time with
the full layout. When working with only one not so large monitor, 
this limitation becomes worse. How about a warp butten that really 
gets you to the selected pin in the middle of the screen and zoomed 
in.
