gEDA-user: RE: gEDASuite
I didn't know about this (gEDASuite) until this morning, while at work. So, I
took a few minutes and downloaded gEDASuite-0.2.tgz onto my home machine, which
is subnetted to work and tried it out.
Seemed to install fine. I like packages under /opt, so I installed as root at
/opt/geda.
But the install apparently did not see an already installed guile-1.4 rpm which
puts it at /usr/lib
And, I dont know if it removed the previous version of gEDA or not and, if there
are any user gEDA config files, the gEDASuite did not say anthing about them or
what needs to be done after install to make it usable.
Also, when I do:
libgeda-config --version
20020209
gesym-config --version
20020527
which gschem
/opt/geda/bin/gschem
gschem
gschem: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libguile.so.9: undefined
symbol: qt_error
I think the first two commands give the older version.
Both qt and guile are installed as mentioned.
And /etc/ld.so.conf checked and ldconfig run
and, finally:
ldd /opt/geda/bin/gschem
