We could do that, but that would mean the GUI for what to display
would need to be completely redone.  I suppose we could have a fourth
option for "show whichever text the element wants" and the other three
(the ones we have today) could override it.

But we'd also need a GUI (or something else) for selecting which text
each element wants, too.
