gEDA-user: cylindrical SMT power resistor pad design: how to do a semi-circular cutout

   I need to create a footprint for a cylindrical SMT resistor.  Do you
   fellows have some pointers for me to generate the semi-circular cut
   out?  Take a look at the recommended foot print (and pdf copy
   attached)
