gEDA-user: Reversing text background/foreground

What  I am really trying to say is is it possible to have text printed 
the opposite on say a ground plane?
The default is to create a "non-copper" rectangle around the text and 
the text be copper.
can you make it so the rectangle is not etched and the actual text is 
etched into the copper? Ya know, a "negative" of the default.
