I think I may have stumbled upon a problem. I had 2 copies of guile installed.
The older (I think) was in /usr/local/include and it does not define scm_t_catch_body.
I use "configure --prefix=/usr/local". This sets the include search path to /"/usr/local/include"
which brings in the wrong copy. Deleted and got further. Now fails with

../noweb/g_basic.nw: In function `load':
../noweb/g_basic.nw:110: too few arguments to function `scm_eval_x'

Will uninstall all guile nad try again.

	Please post or send via private e-mail the libgeda/config.log 
file.  Maybe that will shed some light as to what is going wrong.
