With EMI, the issue usually isn't the application speed but the component speed. If your parts could work in a 500 MHz system, you often need to design for that speed, even if the actual system speed is much lower.


This can be a big problem in aerospace, where the speed on the spec sheet may be heavily "derated". The parts can surprise you with their true speed and the trouble that speed causes.
