Indeed, this was my idea a few minutes after I send this question to the
list. So I tried it, but without success. To be sure, I tried it again
now.

I did ./configure and make in the libgeda directory, then cd docs and
make doxygen. I tried simple make to.... And tried the same for
geda-gschem. Output looks like

Making all in docs
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/stefan/geda-gschem-1.4.3/docs'
Type: make doxygen to create doxygen documentation for gschem
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/stefan/geda-gschem-1.4.3/docs'
Making all in data
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/stefan/geda-gschem-1.4.3/data'
make[2]: Für das Ziel »all« ist nichts zu tun.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/stefan/geda-gschem-1.4.3/data'
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/stefan/geda-gschem-1.4.3'
make[2]: Für das Ziel »all-am« ist nichts zu tun.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/stefan/geda-gschem-1.4.3'
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/stefan/geda-gschem-1.4.3'
stefan@AMD64-X2 ~/geda-gschem-1.4.3 $ cd docs
stefan@AMD64-X2 ~/geda-gschem-1.4.3/docs $ make doxygen
make: *** Keine Regel vorhanden, um das Target »gschem.dox«,
benötigt von »doxygen«, zu erstellen. Schluss.
stefan@AMD64-X2 ~/geda-gschem-1.4.3/docs $

OK, I think this is not a big problem. The doxygen documentation will be
for developers, and they may know how to get it.

Thanks

Stefan
