I'd really see it checked into the HEAD. Every time I compile a new PCB, I have
to patch.

Browsing the source, I see that there is some movement to support non-copper
layers. I don't know the state of that. Still I think it is a good feature.

I see it is useful now, but how will it extend into the future? I think pushing it
would be harmful if we had to completely replace it with incompatible set of new features.

The attribute, "PCB::skip-drc", doesn't only turns off DRC by itself,
it also makes the layer invisible for connection lookups. is there any sane way
to explain this in the documentation (and I believe this feature must be documented
when pushed into master)?

And yes, I shall put it to the tracker within few nights (if nobody else);
I'd just like to know whether anybody has smart ideas about it.
