If you name an unused layer "route", then you can draw a router-path on that
layer using lines and arcs. The center-line of the path will be described as
the
board outline in the fab drawing.

The gerber file for that layer will unfortunately have flashes for all the
pins and
vias, so it's not exactly a route file. (Be sure not to send it in as a
copper layer).
Usually the board manufacturer can work from the fab drawing to make their
router file.
