gEDA package is oficially supported in Fedora Core 6 (and others) as a part of Fedora Extras.
The only problem was with guile 1.8 compatibility, so some versions required guile 1.6 installed on the machine. Compatibility packages with guile 1.6.7 are also available from Fedora Extras.
This is the easiest way to get gEDA for Fedora.
