At the beginning of the school year, my daughter asked for help with
her algebra homework. So, I explained the material to her again.
"Why can't my teacher just *say* that then? I get it when *you*
explain it!" It turns out my daughter just couldn't learn from this
particular teacher. So, we decided that this year *I* would teach her
algebra - she does chemistry homework in algebra class now - and her
math grades have improved.
