Hi. A few minutes ago, I fetched the latest PCB sources from git and recompiled. Surprise: The resulting binary includes translucent tracks and polygons! This is both, beautiful and very useful. See the attached screenshot. Some of these days, Peter Clifton must have been silently pushing his patches to the main tree. --> Extra friggin big THANK YOU !! Note, this is real transparency like it should be. Not like the composite colors that eagle, kicad and protel99 use to make hidden objects visible.
