Well, the current file format of gschem relies entirely on positional 
parameters. I was just dealing with the documentation. 
The positional parameters is a design decision that comes with pros and 
cons. There have been suggestions to get rid of positional parameters and 
implement a new format that is more like named attributes in symbols. 
Some ideas have been tossed, but nothing definitive has grown from this.
